Jerusalem II Pizza on Broadway in Manhattan closed by NYC Department of Health

Jerusalem II Pizza, also known as Pizza World on Broadway, was closed down by the New York City Department of Health according to a source. The Kosher food establishment, which has consistently had Department of Health violations, was hit this time with 46 violation points, including the presence of live animals and vermin on their premises.

Comments:
who is next kosher delight? i mean it smells so bad over there? (ever been to the basement? its scary)why is it so hard to keep these places clean all the time?

Doesn't surprise me, but I'm sure they'll correct and be open within a few days--seems like a lot of them do.

And I thought that their special pizza with those crawling falafel pieces was so cute.

It's about time! This place should have been closed down 20 years ago. The bathrooms were always disgusting and sanitary conditions were completely lacking. Besides, they always had a bad attitude.

they have terrible attitude towrds customers

Would love to see the old owner, Eddie, come back. This story has KG-type potential. Let's stay on top with frequent updates.

What means KG-type potential?

The original Israeli owner of JII Manhattan is related to the ball habos of Mr. Broadway across the street and a shutaf in that fleishig restaurant. The Mr. Broadway shutfim were fined $300,000 by the NYS Attorney General for mistreating their workers and stealing their wages. One of the Israeli jerks who owns Mr. Broadway davens at Toiv's shul in Flatbush and brags that the OU uses him as their exclusive caterer because "I have the best kashrus".

What a chilul Hashem.

Who is the current owner?

What does this mean for the future of the restaurant? Is someone else going to buy it out or are the current owners simply going to clean things up until they get approval to re-open?

It is a shame and a tremendous chilul hashem, they should not allow them to reopen until this place is well exterminated, and then they should have weekly inspections from the health department, they should also hire an attendant to keep those bathrooms clean, their employees are very careless, customer satisfaction is just not important
