Chaptzem review on Say Cheese Cheesecake

While perusing the aisles in your grocery store, the beautiful box of Say Cheese cheesecake quickly grabs your eye. The pretty picture of a gourmet slice of cheesecake makes your mouth water and almost justify the $4.00 price tag for the item. Sadly the actual product is nothing like the picture or the box design at all. There is no slice of cheesecake in the box, as is in the picture, but rather there is a tiny little plastic plate filled halfway to the top with a very salty cheese mixture that doesn't even remotely resemble a cheesecake. If you are really interested in wasting your hard earned cash, there are much better ways to throw four bucks in the garbage than to buy this horrible concoction that is an insult to Kosher consumers.

Comments:
Thats why I buy "Green's" Cheese cake where the cover of the package is clear plastic and you SEE what you pay for :-)

As a long time fan of the "say cheese "
cheese cake i just wanted to say that compared to other authentically "diet"products with a similar caloric value .the "say cheese" cake reigns supreme.the fact that the product is portion controlled,& not overwhelmingly sweet is a big plus to me and makes it well worth the "investment" i guess the good things in life do come in small packages.

I don't know what you are talking about. My family finds it to be delicious. It's diet. It's not going to taste like a real cheesecake. For a diet product it's delicious. It may be expensive but it's good.

I fell for it and ITS CRAP

Well said....I made the mistake it was a piece of CRAP...what a waste of money.

THE EASIEST THING IN THE WORLD TO MAKE IS A CHEESECAKE, AND THE WHOLE CHEESECAKE CAN COST ABOUT $4.OR $5. ALL YOU NEED IS A BLENDER, A READY BOUGHT PIE CRUST (USUALLY FOUND ON SALE UNDER $2.) ONE SMALL FARMER CHEESE, OR CREAM CHEESE, WHICHEVER YOU PREFER (DIET OR NO DIET) AND A BIT OF SUGAR AND A FEW EGGS.
OF COURSE YOU CAN ADD CHOCOALTE CHIPS, SYRUP, OR OTHER FRUITS.....BLENDING THIS TAKES A FEW MINUTES, AND THEN PUTTING IT IN THE OVEN TO BAKE FOR A BOUT AN HOUR, AND YOU HAVE THE BEST FRESHEST CHEESECAKE EVER!
YOU COULD START SELLING SLICES AT $4. APIECE AND THAT SHOULD GIVE YOU A PROFIT OF ALMOST $25. ENJOY!

This is pure Loshon Hora. Nobody expects an upright slice of cheesecake in a refrigerated grocery box, and producers are justified in placing the best picture on the box. Just because you are dissatisfied with the cheesecake doesn't mean you can take it out on them.

Get a life.

I think it is a matter of taste. Some find these cheesecakes delicious, while some don't.

I don't know why you are picking on them, Chaptzem, but my family completely disagrees with you. We buy it each week for a Shabbos morning alternative to cake and everyone loves it.
If you don't like the price or the taste, don't buy it. But you can't dictate to other people what is good or not based on your own personal taste.

Please. It's not a matter of expecting an actual slice of cheesecake inside the box. And producers are NOT justified in putting the "best" picture on the box. Obviously there's no slice of cake inside, rather a mini-cake. Producers are justified only in putting the best ACCURATE picture on the box. In this case it would be either a slice of what you find in the box or the entire cake as it comes in the box. To picture anything else (as it appears, was done here) is misleading and therefore false advertising. A halacha check should help you realize the issue with false advertising.

I bought one expecting cheese cake with nice strawberries on top. or at least a starwberry sauce. Couldn't care less if it was triangle or round. The taste was not bad, but it aint worth no $4.00

Chaptzem, you hit the nail right on the head. If you buy the regular cheese snacks from jj or mehadrin, you're getting more value for your money. I agree it's a major ripoff!!

Right to the Point ! I fell for it for the same reason the package is inviting !!!

RETARDS!!

When you buy Gerber's baby food do you expect to eat the baby on the package???

What kind o fool expects a nice big slice of cheesecake in a small square box weighing 70 grams??

was the one in the picture finished? can i have the leftovers. it's diet!

Why don't you complian to the company. They might even give you a coupon for your next purchase of Say Cheese Cheesecake.

WHEN YOU BUY A BOX OF CRACKERS WITH A PICTURE OF THE CRACKER TOPPED WITH CHEESE I HOPE YOU DONT EXPECT TO FIND THE CHEESE IN THE BOX.ITS CALLED A SERVING SUGGESTION AND IS COMMON AND PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE."SAY CHEESE"SOULD BE APPRECIATED FOR INVESTING IN THE QUALITY & DESIGN OF THE PACKAGE AS WELL AS THE QUALITY AND FRESHNESS OF THE ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS.BEING A STRICTLY KOSHER PRODUCT DOES NOT MEAN THAT EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE COMPROMISED.
