Annual Emes and the Law conference tonight

The annual Emes and the Law conference will be taking place tonight at the almost defunct Vizhnitzer hall in Boro-Park. Chaim Zwiebel will once again be chairing the event. Also, this year we will have the honor to hear from Chaim Leshkowitz, CPA, Esquire, the brother of last year's speaker Yossi Leshkowitz, CPA. Let's see if Chaim's as 'hotzy totzy' as his brother Yossi. Mincha will be at 7:15 pm, followed by the conference and Mariv at about 10:45 pm, after the conference concludes.

Comments:
Can those attending please ask the distinguished panel to give their opinions on the Noach Dear Judgeship/Dov Hikind support issue, and then report to us? The Oilem deserves an explanation.

Or, will it only be FLUFF discussion, not wanting to step on any important toes?

Could chaptzem scan the flier as he did last year? I haven't seen anything in the papers, and I want to see who else is speaking.
Thanks,
Yaakov

why the gratuitious shtuch to yossi

all the people that are going to talk tonight i am sure can understand what it means to make it by from paycheck to paycheck with todays expences such as tuition, rent, insurance, food, ect.
each one of them is well off and does not have to think if we can afford it or not so i say they should take our rabbis and have them speek about the gasmius in today jewish society like for exsample bungalow, fancy cars, million dollar house, ect.
witch many people do just because there neibore does even if they can't aford it and that cause financtial stress in our community to cheat from the pockets of the ones the are good and pay there taxes and don't live the fancy lifestyle

wonder if they will explain to the olam that cheating is worse than having a computer or internet in the house, and that stealing/ cheating is an issur just like cheating on your wife and that the chillul Hashem is greater than having a TV in the house?

I really do not understand the purpose of this meeting tonight. Who are the people that are giving advice to our people? These are people that do not have the nisyonos of our general crowd. Whatever they want, they have ! They have good businesseS, bungalowS, carS, houseS, and if it were allowed, they would have more than one wife too. We need to hear from people that face the same challenges in life that we do.

Absolutely brilliant writing here! Forget about spelling or syntax, the clear thinking...

I mean, the commenters say, if we can't be perfect in all areas, we should just do everything wrong.

And if you have trouble making ends meet, according to them it's okay to be dishonest.

Sounds like there's a fail-your-I.Q.-test requirement here.

By the way, when Rabbanim speak, the complaint is that they don't understand baalei batim. When baalei batim speak, the complaint is that they aren't Rabbanim. For the record, a Rav has spoken for each of the past few years.

There will be no mention of the Dear/Hikind partnership at tonight's conference, just as there has been no mention of it on Hikind's program.

The powerful lawyers on the panel want to stay powerful. They know what's good for them.

THE SPEAKER, FANTASTIC
THE ISSUES, FANTASTIC
THE TURNOUT, NOT SO GREAT
THE REASON, NO MARKETING

DID YOU SEE AN AD? ONLY IN THE PAPERS, MAYBE......
