Threat letter from Rabbonim; Real or Hoax

One of the Chaptzem Blog!'s strong supporters and corporate sponsor, HatzolahTalk.com, received a threatening letter today, allegedly undersigned by four very prominent Rabbonim. HatzolahTalk.com, which is a site designed to better the Hatzolah Organization, has been the target of disgruntled Hatzolah executives for a while now. The letter supposedly states that any means necessary will be taken to put a stop to HatzolahTalk.com, including expelling Hatzolah members and giving them over to the authorities. The letter has not yet been verified by Hatzolah central as legitimate and originating from them.

Comments:
I personally called and they confirmed the letter is real.

screw the terror letter ...thank god we have blogs where people can speak their mind AND TELL THE TRUTH on what is going on in a certain organization..... and by the way if nothing is wrong what are they afraid of ? I wonder.the bottom line is .... free speech is a right in America

Seems this bunch registered with

and took some precautions to stay as anonymous as possible... but as everyone knows.. that's not really possible... there are no hiding places on this highway...

I'm not a Hatzolah guy - but my take is that these guys running this site are - at the very least - demonstrating a lack of the professionalism you might expect - when their discussions of internal stuff is wide open to the public. I haven't done a search - but I doubt that other EMS services have blogs of this kind. This just reinforces my belief that Hatzolah really needs to be careful about whom they add as new members - because this open blog is a real turn-off to an otherwise fantastic group of individuals!

...most likely some kid-minded/ irresponsible/ immature and/or farbisine guy moderating. But I could be wrong.

Definitely need better screening as far as membership in the organization.

Most people that post on the site are not members, and there is no legitimate issues discussed there anyway.

For people that are not members - they sure seem to know more than I'd imagine them to - hhmmm?

OK, lets get a few facts straight. firstly, the forum is our ONLY way to let our voices be heard. within the org. there is enough censorship and snitching that to do it any other way would certainly end in our immediate expulsion from the org.

Second, i happen to know the moderators, and they are quite the opposite of immature kids. they are responsible, mature members who also know the massive problems the org. has, and realize this is the only way to deal with it, as all other avenues have thus far (20+ years) have failed.

Third, the site has at least as many members as "hockers". and while some of the posts are sillyness, much of the rest are valid, and the issues they raise VERY real. and the site doesnt even begin to scratch the surface of the problems and politics within the organization. beyond this, you will have to read between the lines of the site and do some research for yourselves.
